Journeying with the Saints Podcast
Journeying with the Saints is a podcast that picks a Saint for a year to walk with through their writings. Each week, there will be a short reading and then a reflection. This podcast helps to move through the writings of the Saints and understand how their wisdom applies to our lives today. Each Saint has a unique insight into living out the Catholic Faith well and a deep understanding of how to draw closer to Christ. This podcast offers a great opportunity to learn from them.
Hello, hello, Catholic Pilgrims. Today, St. Francis is giving us the second point in preparing to enter into prayer or meditation. Remember last time, he wants us to place ourselves in the presence of God or recognize that God is present–either spiritually, as in He is everywhere, or physically, if you happen to be at church in front of the tabernacle or a monstrance.Â
The second point is on the invocation and this is a very straight forward, short reading, so I don’t feel that it needs much reflection from me.Â
So, I will just read and then we’ll be done with a lighter day. So, grab your books and open to Chapter Three of the Second Part.Â

Today, we finish Season Two with our last reading from Bishop Fulton Sheen’s book, “Way to Inner Peace.”Â
Thank you, Catholic Pilgrims, for following along this year as we’ve explored the writings of Bishop Fulton Sheen. I think our last reading really encompasses all that we’ve learned. In a world that has, in many ways, lost its Faith, Bishop Sheen reminds us that we are made for God and relationship with Him.Â
Please join me for Season Three where we will be reading St. Teresa of Avila’s “The Interior Castle.”Â

Today is the conclusion of our year together. I felt it was fitting to end this year by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. So, grab your rosary and let’s send this amazing year off by praying the beautiful chaplet of mercy taught to us through this diary.Â
St. Faustina, pray for us!
