Daily Reflection: 5 October 2023

As many of you know, my “Journeying With the Saints” podcast started by reading St. Faustina’s Diary.

I had tried to read it on my own, but just couldn’t hang. Then one day, while living in Turkey, I got the idea to read her diary for a podcast. And so, with having zero clue what I was doing, I started my podcast while overseas with an ironing board as a stand for my mic and computer. 😅

I made one podcast episode everyday for 365 days and after one year, my listeners and I made it through the diary. It all happened by the grace of God.

My husband asked me the other day, what are the key things I’ve learned from the saints’ works that I’ve read in my three seasons of the podcast.

Season Three with St. Teresa of Avila, I’m learning about what the path of sainthood looks like.

Season Two with Venerable Fulton Sheen gave me strength to persevere in a world gone mad.

Season One with St. Faustina gave me incredible insight into God’s mercy.

Today is St. Faustina’s feast day. Reading her diary helped me to know her better and Christ. It truly deepened my faith.

If you are interested in reading through her diary, you can find my podcast pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts. It’s season one of the “Journeying with the Saints” podcast. You can find the podcast on my website.

Have a blessed day, Catholic Pilgrims.

St. Faustina, pray for us!
