Daily Reflection: 22 September 2023

Can we finally declare Fall is here, Catholic Pilgrims? 😁

Each and every day, so many of you show up to read my—sometimes lengthy—posts. Brevity is not my strong suit. 😅

As much as many of you say you learn from me, I learn from all of you, as well. I make it a point to read every comment, as your thoughts do matter to me. My page isn’t just about me, myself, and I. We are all Pilgrims here trying to help each other get to Heaven.

So, I’ve decided that most Fridays, I’m going to share my favorite comment of the week from one of you, either from Instagram or Facebook. A lot of other readers don’t have time to read all the comments and they might miss the bits of wisdom you all share.

This week, my favorite comment comes from Gerry. He wrote:

“I remember a preacher saying ‘If you ever find the perfect church leave before you contaminate it!’ He meant there is no perfect congregation, simply by the means of having members it has all the flaws of any organization. We are all sinners. Jesus had 12 Apostles and 1/12 betrayed Him. 10 of the 12 abandoned him on the cross.”

I hope you all have a blessed weekend. Live the Faith boldly and travel well!
