Day 1 with St. Faustina's Diary -

Day 1 with St. Faustina’s Diary

Travel with me, Catholic Pilgrims, for one year as we read through St. Faustina’s Diary. Every day, I will do a short reading from the diary that brought us a deeper understanding of Christ’s Divine Mercy.  Afterwards, I’ll give a short reflection on what we’ve read.

Today’s readings are found in Notebook 1, Numbers 1-2.

  1. Your reflection on the present moment is right on! So often I expend time worrying about “What if,” and miss some special moment with my family. This was a great reminder Thanks!

    • I think this past year has really exacerbated the “what if” problem. I’m so guilty of it. I’m glad it was a good reminder to be in the moment. 🙂

  2. Hello! I just found your blog regarding your reading plan for the Diary and I was wondering if you have your reading plan written out that you could possibly share or post (if you haven’t yet)? My friend and I are planning on reading the diary together this year but looking at it and trying to figure out how to make a reading plan is a little scary to me so I thought I’d ask if you had one made up. Thanks for any help and no worries if you don’t. I’m excited to follow along with you on this journey.

    • Hi Megan, I’m so glad you found me! Unfortunately, I don’t have a written out plan right now. I didn’t know if everyone’s book were organized like mine so that’s why I didn’t end up putting one together. But, I will say this, if you and your friend are planning to read it together in a year, you need to read about five numbers per day. I don’t know how your book is organized as compared to mine, but my book has numbers next to certain paragraphs. To finish the book in a whole year, you would need to get through five numbers a day. However, for my podcast purposes, I try to do what flows best. So sometimes I read more than five to keep with the flow of her thoughts and sometimes I read less. I know that’s not super helpful. I do put what I’m reading in the show notes as some people like to read beforehand. I’m so glad you will be joining along and what a great thing to do with a friend!

  3. I only recently found your podcast, I have founded it very enlightening, inspiring and uplifting. Thank you. Best wishes. May God reward you.

    • Hello! I am so glad you found it. I do hope you continue to follow along and let it help you read through the diary. I think you’ll be glad you did!

  4. Hello 🙂 the past Sunday ( divine mercy Sunday ) after attending confession and mass, I started googeling and reading more about the image of divine mercy and st Faustina, i then found your readings of st Faustina’s diary on Spotify, and I’m hooked, I’m so grateful you created these audio sessions, its really helping me in my journey of faith as new catholic convert. so I just wanted to express my gratitude, and i hope you continue to make more, there are so many awesome Christian books you could do in a similar fashion, the imitation of christ / the confessions of st Augustine the writings of the other saints and desert fathers. just an idea,
God Bless you and looking forward to more content

    Kind Regards
    Nick

    • Hi Nick! I’m so glad you found the podcast. My newest podcast is called “Journeying with the Saints.” The St. Faustina podcast is Season 1 and Season 2 is reading a book by Venerable Fulton Sheen called “Way to Inner Peace.” Season 2 is a weekly podcast instead of daily. I’m trying to consolidate it all on one place. You can find it on Spotify, as well. I do plan to continue reading other books. Thanks for reaching out and welcome home!
