St. Clement's Island, Maryland

St. Clement's Island was the site of the first Mass said by the English in 1634 in what would become the United States. The island was once 400 acres but, because of erosion, it has been reduced to 60 acres. The island is accessible by ferry April-October. It's a great place to visit to learn more about American Catholic history.
